Red Wing's icon model STYLE NO.875 6''CLASSIC MOC is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year!
875 has changed leather for a variety of reasons throughout its long history.
In 1954, when the 875 was first rolled out, an orange-youred brown oil dress called “Oro Rasset” was adopted!

Ororaset leather has gradually increased redness over time.
(3rd photo, current leather olora set portage close to the color of the olora set at this time)
Around 1996, there was a movement to recreate the original orangeish brown 875 using an olora set leather, and a new "Oro Iginal" leather was created and adopted in the 875.
Around 2014, the original leather was used in the Red Wing work division, and the 875 leather was changed to the current "Oro Legacy".

"Oro Legacy" is
It is a natural leather that makes use of the original texture of the leather by dyeing the leather after tanning.
As you wear it, the expression of the leather changes and you can enjoy the aging!
875 has a history of 70 years and is still popular today.
